The Walking Dead’s Rick and Michonne spin-off has finally delivered a first look at the highly-anticipated return of the beloved characters.
At New York Comic-Con, the creative team behind the Walking Dead universe shared a first-look teaser at the show after two years of fans patiently waiting.
Officially titled The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, the AMC show also shared a first look at the collection of characters the pair will meet on their new adventures in survival.
The duo – played by Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira – are on a mission to find each other, but it’s yet to be seen what they will do to reunite – and who they will become in order to do it.
In the teaser footage, the pair are seen away from each other, fighting against the hordes of undead that cross their respective paths.

In another, Rick is slumped against the wall covered in sweat and blood.
In a voiceover, he’s heard saying: “I tried to get away. Please know I tried. I tried but I failed. Just know I love you.”
Among them is Lucifer star Lesley-Ann Brandt, who is joining the cast as a mysterious woman called Pearl. Her casting sparked a fan meltdown recently.
Terry O’Quinn – who became a cult favourite as John Locke in Lost – will also be a new face within the franchise.
Pollyanna McIntosh, who first appeared in the original Walking Dead’s season seven, will continue to provide a connective thread in the show’s overall story by appearing as well.

Jadis, aka Anne, also appeared in the now defunct World Beyond – making her the first character to appear in three of the spin-offs.
Rick and Michonne’s early exit from the main series – despite being the main protagonists of the show – proved to be a rocking point for the franchise as a whole.
Described as an ‘epic love story’, The Ones Who Live will see the pair thrown into a whole new world away from their beloved family of survivors.
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live will air in February 2024 on AMC.
