As Andi Peters and Josie Gibson took to the This Morning couch on Thursday morning to present the daytime magazine show, viewers appeared impressed with their work and are hoping the duo bag regular slots.

While the latter has been fronting the show this week alongside other co-presenters, she was joined by guest host Andi for this instalment – who often can be seen filming the ITV competition packages.

"Andi Peters should be on with Josie all the time. Natural, more relaxing to watch xx," wrote one fan, as many took to X, previously known as Twitter, to share their thoughts about the pair.

Begging to see them more regularly, another said, "I really hope Josie Gibson and @andipeters become full time presenters on @thismorning they're my favourites."

"Loving Josie and Andi today," echoed another. As a fourth added, "I say it every time, but Andi peters deserves a regular slot."

One viewer shared, "My 2nd favourite pair. Always a joy with these 2."

There has been a large mix of presenters over recent months, following Philip Schofield's departure from ITV. The shamed presenter previously appeared alongside Holly Willoughby at the helm of the show.

However, he exited back in May, when it was also announced that he had an 'unwise but not illegal' relationship with a much younger male runner on the show.

The disgraced presenter stepped down with "immediate effect", initially saying in a statement to ITV: "I have always been proud to cover fascinating stories on This Morning. But recently, This Morning itself has become the story.

"Throughout my career in TV – including the very difficult last few days – I have always done my best to be honourable and kind. I understand that ITV has decided the current situation can’t go on, and I want to do what I can to protect the show that I love."

This left former best pal Holly without a co-host and appearing alongside a slew of stand-ins from the roster, including Josie, Craig Doyle, Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond.

Holly is currently enjoying a summer break, leaving the remaining roster of presenters to take it in turns as they run the show.

Josie has proved a large hit amongst fans this year since stepping into a more prominent role, with many dubbing her ''exactly what This Morning needs'.

She first shot to fame after winning the eleventh series of the reality show Big Brother in 2010, before progressing into presenting roles, moving to the This Morning competitions and now, presenting the main show on the famous sofa.
