    This Morning viewers were rubbed up the wrong way during the latest episode of the ITV daytime show.

    Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield returned to television screens on Tuesday (November 29).

    They kicked off the programme by showing off the studio's Christmas makeover.

    Complete with 22 huge Christmas trees, the home of This Morning was transformed into a lavish winter wonderland.

    As Holly and Phillip revealed a majority of the decorations have been up-cycled and recycled from previous years, viewers at home couldn't help but share their views online.

    Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: "Trying to justify the sheer extravagance of it all."

    Another moaned: "And here's me thinking that Christmas is in December."

    A third person posted: "Still November #ThisMorning."

    While a fourth social media wrote: "#ThisMorning "We are in a cost of living crisis." Also This Morning "Here's our 22 Christmas trees!"
