This Morning fans gobsmacked as they spot Brookside legend singing with Lorna Luft | The Sun

THIS Morning fans were left open mouthed today as they spotted Brookside legend Michael Starke singing on the show.

The actor, 65, joined Judy Garland's daughter Lorna Luft and The Wanted’s Jay McGuinness to perform songs from hit musical White Christmas.


Those watching at home couldn’t believe their eyes and took to Twitter to comment on it.

One person wrote:   “Is that Sinbad from Brookie singing with Lorna Luft???#ThisMorning.”

A second asked:  “Is that Sinbad from Brookside  #thismorning.”

While a third quizzed:  “Is that Sinbad from Brookside as Captain Mainwaring??  #ThisMorning.”

Michael is playing General Waverly in the show, while Lorna plays Martha Watson and Jay is taking on the role of Bob Wallace.

Michael is most well-known for playing Thomas 'Sinbad' Sweeney in the Merseyside soap, as well as his year-long stint on Corrie as kebab shop owner Jerry Morton.

In June 2021 the star returned to our screens once again as a cabbie to escort Darren Osborne and Nancy Fox on their romantic date.

Michael's character Sinbad was involved in a range of shocking storylines over the years.
