THIS Morning fans have been left cringing after a presenter made a huge blunder with a guest who was losing her hair live on air.

The mishap happened during the phone in with the Speakmans, who invited viewers with Christmas anxiety to call in to chat.

Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary introduced guest 'Rebecca' to the show, who revealed she was struggling to socialise.

Wanting to mingle during the festive season and head to their work Christmas party, the phone-in guest wanted tips on combating her nervousness in public.

She revealed it was all due to the fact that she had been "losing her hair and eyelashes" over the past year, making her self-conscious.

Therapists Nik and Eva went on to offer up their advice, trying to boost her confidence, when they made the awkward blunder.

Eva, 61, was heard telling the guest, who had opened up about her hair loss, to "let her hair down" at the Christmas party.

Fans cringed as Eva said: "You know what is a great thing about Christmas? It's that we can get away with wearing Christmas hats. If you've got hair loss, you can cover your head."

She went on to give advice on how 'Rebecca' could combat her nerves, including talking to her close colleagues.

But things went from bad to worse as Eva added: "It's a time to let your hair down and have a little bit of fun and just relax."

Taking to Twitter to react, one viewer wrote: "Losing your hair, anxious advice to let your hair down? Did she really say that?!"

Another chimed in: with laughing emojis "Whoops, let your hair down to someone who is suffering from hair loss."

"Saying let your hair down to a woman whose writing in about her hair loss probably isn't the right thing to say," a third added.

It comes after Eurovision star Sam Ryder caused chaos in the studio after "breaking 20 rules" while plugging his new album.

Sam, 33, could be seen asking for permission to talk into the camera before going on to ask viewers to stream his new songs.

The star – who rose to fame on Eurovision this year – admitted he was desperate to clinch the coveted Christmas Number 1 status.

However, after plugging the album, he quickly realised he may have broken TV rules by advertising his album for Christmas Number 1.

Fans took to Twitter to also hit back against Sam breaking telling rules by plugging his tracks, saying it was "me, me, me".

"Sam: ME ME ME ME ME," one fan hit out, as another chimed in to agree: "Sam Ryder, yawn."

But others hit back they were huge fans of the singer, with one saying: "I’m a pessimist but Sam Ryder's positivity is contagious."

"Lots of Twitter users triggered by Sam Ryder's positivity and optimism I see. How sad," a second hit back.

"So glad for Sam Ryder and his success he really is a gentleman and a genuinely lovely guy hope he gets number one," a third added.
