Before getting started, Dermot, 50, told viewers: "We have to start with a story about one of our own," before explaining that a 36-year-old man had been arrested with plotting to kidnap Holly.
The duo threw their support behind their co-star and friend as Alison, 48, added: "We're obviously all shocked to hear the news and we want to send our love and biggest hugs to Holly and her family."

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak also shared his well wishes with the presenter ahead of his interview on Friday's (October 6) episode of This Morning. The 43-year-old said: "I just want to sent my best to Holly with everything that's going on with her family."
The mum-of-three was forced to pull out of Thursday's (October 5) episode of This Morning and it's said police were placed outside the home she lives in with her husband and their children. Sources told The Sun Holly was "shocked and distraught" and it was decided she should be pulled from the programme.
Alison replaced the star last-minute and presented alongside Josie Gibson. Earlier today, it was announced that Gavin Plumb had been charged with plotting to kidnap, rape and murder Holly.
The man has been remanded into custody and will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates Court on Friday (October 6). Detective Superintendent Rob Kirby said: "This was an extremely fast paced investigation, with many of our officers working overnight to secure these charges."
He added: "The safeguarding of any victim is paramount and we will continue to prioritise this and working with the Metropolitan Police Service as the investigation proceeds."
