Ben Shephard welcomed four brand new quizzing hopefuls to take on the Tipping Point machine in the hopes of bagging the grand jackpot.

Today on the show, Wesley, Pat, Andy and Gina were all battling it out in hopes they would accrue the most counters and secure the jackpot.

Having got the question correctly just minuets into the show, Pat, who had already banked £50, dropped her coin into the machine and was left over the moon at the result.

In a show first, Pat's counter managed to get a whopping 20 counters over the Tipping Point resulting in Pat gaining an incredible £1,000 taking her total to £1,050 on only her second question.

Pat and her fellow players were left open-mouthed at the shock outcome as Ben congratulated her on such an epic win so early on into the show.

Fans at home felt as though the super result had sealed the fate of the show and were left convinced Pat was the cetrified winner of the show.

One fan said: "Program's over! Pat's won. That huge drop, no one will catch her up."

Another jokingly added: "Well done on winning Tipping Point Pat."

A third wrote: "Well that was a hell of a drop, 20 counters."

As a fourth laughed: "Pat has been practising this in Blackpool amusements."

It certainly helped to boost Pat through the show as she managed to make it all the way to the final round after Ben joked the other players were 'crawling back' at her ginormous lead.

Pat eventually banked £3850 and decided to walk away with what she had earned rather than play for the final jackpot.

This proved a clever decision as when Ben tried out the machine to see if she would have won, the jackpot counter remained untouched.
