introducing himself during last night's episode, Dominic Ede told the audience he was from Milton Keynes.

They were facing off against University College, Oxford for a place in round two.

But Ede's apparent tight and revealing outfit had viewers talking during the show.

"Ede can not wait for issue number 2 of knit your own jumper," joked one telly watcher.

Another remarked: "Ok, Ede has already won the best dressed."

The majority of viewers at home were in support of Ede's look, as compliments continued to fly in.

"TEAM EDE ONLY. We can only stan," one fan tweeted.

It remains to be seen if Ede's team will return to the competition after they lost to University College Oxford.

However, host Jeremy did tease because they lost with such a high score of 110 points it might be enough for them to return.

University Challenge airs on BBC Two and iPlayer.
