Jeremy Kyle was back on Wednesday as he filled in for Piers Morgan on his TalkTV show Uncensored. Throughout the one-hour segment, the former ITV talk show host discussed a range of topics hitting the headlines, including whether cyclists should pay road tax and insurance. He also spoke about the tragic event that unfolded in West London after an elderly man on a scooter was stabbed to death. Roy Muller also appeared via video link where he spoke about thugs who attacked him at his own home in Birmingham.

However, just minutes into the programme, Jeremy launched into a rant about cyclists, admitting he “loathed” them.

He also took a brutal swipe at Channel 5 presenter Jeremy Vine, who often speaks about road safety for cyclists.

The presenter regularly shares clips from his encounters with angry road users on social media.

At the beginning of Uncensored, Jeremy could be seen posing on a bike in front of a greenscreen of a road.

He made it clear to viewers that he was not a fan of cyclists, and didn’t hold back in his opening speech.

“Good evening my friends, and a big, big welcome to Piers Morgan Uncensored, I’m still Jeremy Kyle,” he began before adding: “First tonight, a road riddle.

“How do you get to use the highways with no licence, no insurance, without paying any tax and with absolutely no speed limit?

“The answer is of course, as easy as riding a bike.

“I promise you one thing, this is the only time ever you’ll see me doing this. I get irrationally angry about cyclists.”

“What’s not to loathe?” he later went on to fume before adding: “You’ve got the chain gangs… usually four of them riding side by side like some massive peloton.

“While us taxpaying motorists queue behind getting later and later and more irate.

“Or you got the Sigourney Weaver’s through the mist swerving like a shopping trolley with a dodgy wheel.”

Taking aim at the Channel 5 presenter, Jeremy added: “Or you’ve got the Jeremy Vines, whoever he is with more cameras than Kodak picking fights and running red lights.

“It’s good news though. as it turns out I’m not the only one that thinks these two tyre tyrants have run out a road.

“Today that government announced, thank God, it might just call for cyclists to buy insurance, follow speed limits, pay fines for ignoring the laws of our road.”

Following his rant, the TalkTV host also clashed with “Britain’s most hated” camera-clad cyclist Dave Sherry over why he doesn’t pay road tax.

He also questioned why the cyclist was wearing a stab vest and had such a big camera on his helmet.

The segment left viewers divided, and while many agreed with Jeremy, others defended cyclist Dave.

Gaz Fitz wrote: “The amount of times I see cyclists riding in two’s along country roads with queues of cars behind them is worrying. Presumably, they do this so they can chat. It’s dangerous. Give a single cyclist complete space. The same can’t be given to a pair, it’s not possible.”

However, Matthew disagreed as he tweeted: “Stop taking up all of the roads and stop causing traffic.”

Piers Morgan Uncensored airs from Monday to Thursday at 8pm on TalkTV.
