But before she became a country music icon the singer lived in a small cabin with her huge family.

Who are Dolly Parton's siblings?

Dolly is one of 12 children who were born to Robert and Avie Lee Parton.

The family grew up near the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee's Sevier County, and had next to nothing back then.

They all lived in a small cabin where they slept six to a bed

In order of birth, the six boys and six girls were named Willadeene, David Wilburn, Coy Denver, Dolly Rebecca, Bobby Lee, Stella Mae, Cassie Nan, Randel Huston “Randy,” Larry Gerald, Estel Floyd, and twins Freida Estelle and Rachel Ann.

Willadeene Parton

Willadeene is the oldest of the Parton children and was born on March 24, 1940.

She didn't pursue a career in music but she did write the family memoir.

Smoky Mountain Memories: Stories from the Hearts of the Parton Family was released in 1996.

Stella Parton

Stella is also a singer who was born on May 4, 1949.

She is younger than her sister Dolly by three years.

Her biggest hit is I Want To Hold You In My Dreams, which was released in 1975.

Cassie, Freida and Randy Parton

Cassie Parton (born on February 12, 1951) and Freida Parton (June 1, 1957) are also talented singers.

Cassie performed in the Dollywood show, My People, in 2013 with her brother Randy,

Freida no longer performs but was in a punk band in the 1980s and singing back-up on some of Dolly's albums.

Sadly their brother Randy was just 67 years old at the time of his passing in January 2021.

Floyd Parton

Born on June 1, 1957 Floyd Parton was Dolly's longtime songwriting partner.

He also appeared on soundtracks for George Burns in Nashville (1980) and Dolly Parton & Friends (2007).

Sadly Floyd passed away in 2018 at the age 0f 61.

Rachel Parton

Dolly fans will well know Dolly's famous younger sister, Rachel Parton Dennison.

Born on August 31, 1959 who starred in the ABC sitcom 9 to 5 from 1982 to 1988.

In 2014, she performed with Dolly and Stella at the Red Tent Women's Conference in Tennessee.

David Parton, Coy Parton, and Robert Lee Parton

Dolly also has siblings who have stayed away from the spotlight.

David was born on March 30, 1942, while Coy was August 16, 1943, and Robert arrived in February 18, 1948.

None of them have pursued a career in showbiz, so very little is known about them.

Larry Parton

Dolly did have one more brother, Larry who was born on July 6, 1955.
