Who is Big Brother housemate Matty? | The Sun

BIG Brother has made a triumphant return to telly.

The reality show has been rebooted on ITV and one of the housemates hoping to last the distance in the famous house is Matty.

Who is Matty?

Matty, who is a 24-year-old doctor from the Isle of Man, is part of the Big Brother 2023 line up.

He revealed he wanted to apply for BB ever since he watched the show with his mother as a child, so when the opportunity arose to be on it, he jumped at the chance.

Ahead of his appearance on the OG reality show, Matty told ITV: "I want to experience everything before I die, and I just thought why not do something mad like this?

"I grew up in such a small place on the Isle of Man where I didn't really see many people who felt like me.

"I remember watching Big Brother and I could see myself in all these characters from a cross section of society, and I thought like, oh, maybe I would fit in there. So I just always wanted to apply."

He also said ahead of the show, that he was looking forward to having "lots of fun, dancing lots and meeting all the other housemates".

When asked how his family would describe him, Matty said: "They would say I'm quite, like, a lucky person or someone who really wants to experience life to its fullest and do everything that it has to offer.

"Someone who is kind and fun and doesn't take life too seriously."

The Big Brother house kicked off with 16 housemates, which will be whittled down following an eviction.

How can I watch Big Brother?

Big Brother airs at 9pm on ITV2 from Sunday to Friday – however it is not on, on Saturdays.

ITVX are also providing a live stream until the early hours of the morning.

Two new hosts have also joined the show – AJ Odudu and Will Best.

The pair also present a daily spin-off series called Big Brother: Late And Live which airs directly after the main show.

The show previously ran on Channel 4 and Channel 5.
