Two students have taken to TikTok to share their reaction to opening their A Level results grades.

However, the grand reveal video didn’t go exactly to plan as the pair were not happy with what they saw, despite already knowing they had got into university.

Today, on A Level results day, thousands of students up and down the UK have found out whether they got into the university they were hoping for.

In the video that was posted earlier today, we see two girls sat inside a car, preparing to open their results together on camera.

Before they even begin the reveal, one of the girls gasps in shock saying she ‘saw one of the grades.’

Before they even begin the reveal, one of the girls gasps in shock saying she ‘saw one of the grades’

‘I got into to uni so it’s fine,’ she reassures herself while her friend laughs, before agreeing ‘you got in so it doesn’t matter’.

Still with her hand over her mouth in surprise, she adds ‘I’m really scared.’

Her friend asked what grade she saw but instead of showing her, the two decided to continue with the video and open their results together on camera, one at a time.

At the same time, they both open the envelope to see the first grade.

This is where the video takes a turn as one of them shrieks ‘Noooo’ while the other gasps in shock, followed by silence and then nervous laughter.

The girl on the right exclaims ‘What? This is so bad’.

They quickly move onto the second grade, when she says ‘no oh my god oh my god, I’m actually gonna die, I’m actually gonna get killed.’

She continued ‘It’s so bad. It’s not my predicted grade.’

Moving onto the third grade, this time the other girl clasps her hand over her mouth as they both look at each other in horrified surprise.

The girl on the right adds ‘I can’t believe I got that, that’s so bad.’

Her friend finally speaks again, saying ‘they’re so bad. They’re actually awful,’ before showing her fellow student the piece of paper.

She questions ‘How the f*** did we get into uni?’ to which the second girl replies ‘I don’t know’.

At this point they are both laughing as one reveals she got a C in English and the other admits to a D in Business.

The pair decide to double check Ucas to make sure they didn’t misread their university admission – to their relief they did get in

The pair decide to double check Ucas to make sure they didn’t misread their university admission – to their relief they did get in.

Calming down, the girl on the right said ‘People get in all the time without getting the grades.’

However she was still worried about how her family would react, exclaiming ‘My parents are actually going to kill me. They were expecting A’s.’

Her friend tries to reassure her that ‘grades don’t even matter any more’ because she got in.

She adds ”forget the f****** grades alright, we’re going to uni, we did that and it was amazing’.

Ending the video on a humorous note, the girls talked about being excited about going to university, even though they’re ‘going to burn their results papers.’

This comes after students accepted onto degree courses has fallen by 2.6% from last year, meaning lots of people were left disappointed.

The video has racked up over 30k views, with one comment relating to the sitaution, saying ‘my first sentence was i got into uni so it’s fine’.

Others said ‘congrats guys,’ ‘Honestly me’ and ‘Exactly I got below the contextual offer and still got in.’
