Corrections and clarifications: This story has been updated to reflect that Antonio Brown did not compose the original meme he posted on his Twitter account, he merely shared it.
Antonio Brown's NFL career has been plagued by many controversies.
There's the time he was unceremoniously released from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in January after he walked off the field following a sideline dispute. Or when he served a three-game suspension in 2021 for misrepresenting his vaccination status to the NFL.
But the 34-year-old shared a meme that suggested neither incident qualifies as his "biggest regret."
"My biggest regret in my career doesn't involve calling my GM a (expletive), or showing up to Raider's camp late in a hot air balloon with frozen feet, or throwing rocks at that UPS driver," the meme reads, which Brown shared to Twitter Thursday. "It definitely doesn't involve taking off my shirt off and doing a victory lap around the Jets' stadium mid-game while throwing up the dueces."
No. The biggest regret is just as head-scratching as many of his antics.
"My biggest regret is that I'll never get to see me, Antonio Brown, play a game live. Sure, I can watch the games afterwards, but I can't imagine what that was like for you all to see something like that. Like watching the Beatles or Jesus perform at Red Rocks."
Brown signed the statement, "Sincerely AB." His post received over 51,000 likes.
