Ariana Grande made a very public appearance in New York on Tuesday, where she belted out some tunes from Wicked just two days after her split from Pete Davidson.

Video and photos obtained by shows the singer wowing the crowd while very clearly not wearing the $100,000 engagement ring she received from Davidson.

Grande went all out for the performance too, channeling the character of Elphaba with a green top and lipstick.

At the same time, her ex Davidson has remained out of the public eye while on a two-week hiatus from Saturday Night Live.

A source told that Grande, 25, was at Saturday Night Live this weekend, standing by her fiance’s side as he filmed the third episode of the season.

‘They were holding hands, she was cuddling with him and they both looked very much in love,’ one eyewitness told

‘There was no sign from either one of them that they were about to split.’

That same eyewitness said they were ‘completely shocked’ when they heard about the break-up just a few hours later on Sunday.

Meanwhile, a fan managed to snap an image on Sunday at around noon which showed Davidson, 24, and Grande leaving NBC headquarters at 30 Rockefeller Center and getting into a waiting black SUV.

Meanwhile, over in Los Angeles, Grande’s manager Scooter Braun seemed to hint at the pair’s split while addressing the crowd at a gala he hosted for F*** Cancer.

‘Someone who I am very close to was supposed to be here today, but she couldn’t because of things she is going through,’ Braun told the crowd, without identifying the person but clearly speaking about Grande said one guest.

‘A while I was frustrated as a manager, my wife, being who she always is, said to me: “She needs this time.”‘

That comes on the heels of Grande cancelling  her scheduled appearance on the premiere episode of Saturday Night Live last month.

In the wake of her last-second exit, creator and executive producer Lorne Michaels was able to get Kanye West to step in replace the singer just days before the show’s taping.

Michaels later spoke about Grande in an interview on the podcast Origins with James Andrew Miller while explaining how the cast and crew manage to put on a live show each week.

‘We had Ariana drop out for emotional reasons two days ago. That’s our premiere, and then Kanye stepped up, and he’ll be there,’ said Michaels.

That did not stop the writers from making three different references to Davidson’s relationship with Grande in the show, dedicating part of host Adam Driver’s monologue, a Kyle Mooney short and a segment on Weekend Update to the relationship.

In that third segment, Davidson actually joked about the pair’s possible split, saying: ‘You know, I don’t even get royalties for that Pete Davidson song? Like, if we break up, and we won’t. We will, but we won’t. I’m kidding.’

He went on to say: ‘But like in ten years if God forbid that ever happened, there will be a song called ‘Pete Davidson’ like playing in speakers at K-Mart and I’ll be working there.’

Grande also told fans on Wednesday that she was working hard to take care of her emotional health.

This came after an angry fan lashed out when Grande posted a three-minute video of her pet pig, Piggy Smallz, which she had teased as the new music video for her single Breathest.

‘This era is a joke and lazy,’ said the fan.

‘This era is beautiful to me but idk. Been thru hell and back and I’m doing my best to keep going,’ wrote Grande.

‘Thought this would make u laugh while u wait for the real one bc i took a break to take care of myself for a lil while. My b.’

Grande has been struggling recently with the death of ex Mac Miller, which came as she was still trying to cope with the bombing at her Manchester concert last year.

The couple even took in Miller’s dog after the singer’s sudden death.

Grande and Davidson, who became engaged in June after just a few months of dating, were seen leaving their apartment building together on Wednesday, and prior to that could be seen watching Spongebob Squarepants episodes in videos posted by the singer.

In the wake of the pair’s split, Davidson deleted his social media accounts, and neither he or Grande have released a statement at this time.

Davidson has been busy with Saturday Night Live the past three weeks while Grande is busy recording her next album.

The actor and comedian had been living at Grande’s apartment but will now have to fund his own place, a task that should be helped by his show’s two-week hiatus.
