Beresford Hotel in Newquay surrounded by cops & ambulance staff after ‘incident’ at lodge that's housing asylum seekers | The Sun

AN ASYLUM seeker hotel has been surrounded by police and ambulances following reports of a "medical incident".

Emergency services have rushed to the scene at the Beresford Hotel in Newquay.

Devon and Cornwall Police officers were seen at the front and rear of the hotel in Narrowcliff at around 12.30pm today.

Witnesses said they saw medical staff inside the hotel wearing "full white suits and masks".

An NHS testing van was also seen outside the hotel for much of Thursday.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were contacted by Ambulance Services this afternoon to assist them at a hotel in Newquay."
