Birmingham New Street Station has been invaded by Pro-Palestinian supporters undergoing a disruptive sit-down action.
Pictures and videos posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, show the crowd of protesters sitting on the floor, chanting and bashing kitchen pans – with many waving large Palestinian flags inside the station.
Demonstrators could also be heard angrily shouting ‘Rishi Sunak, shame on you’ and ‘Keir Starmer, shame on you’.
Many protesters were holding placards and banners which said ‘Freedom for Palestine’ and ‘Ceasefire’.
In response to the videos posted on social media, one person wrote on X: ‘Clear them, don’t let them to be a nuisance to the travelling public.’

Another wrote: ‘So much hatred and anti semitism being displayed.’
British Transport Police took to Twitter to ensure commuters that officers are in attendance at the protest and no trains were disrupted.
They wrote: ‘A peaceful protest is occurring in Birmingham New Street Station.
‘Officers are in attendance and working closely with the station teams to ensure the safety of all those using the station and passengers travelling through.’
They added: ‘No trains have been disrupted due to the protest and passengers are able to freely access all platforms. Anyone wishing to make a report related to this can text us on 61016 quoting ref 309 of today.
‘Everyone has the right to travel safely and no one should be targeted with harassment because of who they are.’
It comes just a few days after Pro-Palestine demonstrators staged a sit-down protest during rush hour at London Liverpool Street station.

Media posted on X showed the crowd of protesters cheering and clapping with many waving large Palestinian flags.
Hundreds of campaigners chanted: ‘What do we want? Ceasefire. When do we want it? Now.’
Police officers were filmed attempting to move commuters along as curious onlookers stopped to see what was happening at the sit-down protest.
Sisters Uncut, a feminist group who organised the protest, posted on X: ‘Sit-in taking over Liverpool Street Station in solidarity with the Palestinian people – no business as usual until genocide ends. Ceasefire now.’
The group also claimed that more than 500 demonstrators took to the station to protest.
