A woman fell 13,000ft to her death off a snowy mountain in front of her horrified climbing companion last week (October 25).
She and her fellow climber were hoping to scale Mount Toubkal in Morocco – North Africa's highest peak – when the tragic incident occured, local media reported.
The climbers set off from Al Rovij to start their climb, which usually takes hikers around two days.

The pair had reportedly opted not to hire a tour guide for the ill-fated trek and the woman, who has not yet been named, reportedly fell "into a hole" near the top of the mountain, in an area called Aslghi near Tizi, where climbers who reach the summit tend to pose for selfies.
Sources say she suffered serious injuries and died instantly.
Emergency responders from the country's Royal Gendarmerie, Civil Protection, and the local authority arrived on the scene to transport the woman's body from the mountain.
The circumstances of her death are being investigated by public prosecutors, according to local reports.
Mount Toubkal is located 40 miles south of Marrakesh and is a popular destination for avid backpackers as well as skiers.

The climb is generally considered relatively simple, but many hikers opt to hire tour guides who also carry equipment and food supplies up the mountain.
"Our Moroccan News," a local news outlet, said the British woman fell into a hole, or crevice, "under a mountainous height" near the very top of the mountain.
The report continues, claiming that professional guides "know the mysteries of the area and the dangers" of the mountain, suggesting the woman could have potentially avoided her tragic fate if she and her companion had splashed out on a guide.
A spokesperson for the UK's Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office told the Daily Star: “We have provided support to the family of a British woman who died in Morocco on 25th October.”

This isn't the first time a Brit has met their end climbing the treacherous mountain.
In June 2016, the body of a British teenager, Connor Jarvis, was found on Mount Toubkal 12 days after he set off on a hike after he fell on the mountain.
His parents John and Sian said they advised their son to book a guide and |not to wander off on his own" during his trip, but said he had downloaded an online guide to solo hiking and had become "over-confident".
They said: "We all miss Connor so much, our lives will never be the same, and we have done all we can to try to make sure that such a tragedy doesn't happen again on Mount Toubkal."
