Chicken factory worker who bludgeoned ex to death as daughter slept then chopped body into 15 pieces is jailed | The Sun

A CHICKEN factory worker who bludgeoned his ex-girlfriend to death and cut her body into 15 pieces has been caged for 22 years.

Kamil Ranoszek, 42, spread Ilona Golabek's body parts around a country park after learning she had contacted a man on Tinder.

The monster then claimed 27-year-old Ilona "appeared to have vanished into thin air" as he reported her missing.

He pretended to help police with the disappearance until her body was discovered three months later.

In reality, the factory worker had bludgeoned Ilona to death with a hammer at home in Boston, Lincolnshire, as their three-year-old daughter slept.

Ranoszek has now been jailed for life with a minimum of 22 years after being convicted of murder.

In a victim impact statement, Ilona's mum Ewa Golabek said her daughter had a "heart of gold".

She added: "My daughter is in my thoughts every day and every hour."

Lincoln Crown Court heard how Ilona was no longer happy in the six-year relationship and had started speaking with another man on Tinder.

On November 9, Ranoszek repeatedly beat the mother of his child over the head in a "brutal, bloody and senseless" killing.

He then spent hours attempting to hide the horrific murder by chopping Ilona's body into 15 pieces.

After mopping up Ilona's blood, Ranoszek cycled in darkness to Witham Way Country Park where he disposed of her body parts.

He attended a police station two days later and reported his ex missing.

Police later discovered blood-stained clothing belonging to Ilona in the family home stashed in the electric metre cupboard.

Ranoszek claimed he had spent the evening at a friend's birthday party when he returned to find Ilona holding her phone at around 11pm.

He insisted he had gone to bed as he was tired and woke to find she had vanished without her passport, driving licence and money when he got up for work at 2.20am.

Sentencing, Judge Simon Hirst said: "You, while your three year old daughter was asleep, picked up a hammer and hit her at least seven times to the head.

"You then took steps to cover up your tracks.

"You lied to her friends and relatives to see if you could save your own skin."

How you can get help

Women’s Aid has this advice for victims and their families:

  • Always keep your phone nearby.
  • Get in touch with charities for help, including the Women’s Aid live chat helpline and services such as SupportLine.
  • If you are in danger, call 999.
  • Familiarise yourself with the Silent Solution, reporting abuse without speaking down the phone, instead dialing “55”.
  • Always keep some money on you, including change for a pay phone or bus fare.
  • If you suspect your partner is about to attack you, try to go to a lower-risk area of the house – for example, where there is a way out and access to a telephone.
  • Avoid the kitchen and garage, where there are likely to be knives or other weapons. Avoid rooms where you might become trapped, such as the bathroom, or where you might be shut into a cupboard or other small space.
