Dad accused of double murder ‘paid victim £3k to tie her up in car boot’ – trial

A dad accused of murdering two women allegedly paid one of his alleged victims £3,000 to pose in lingerie while tied up in the boot of a car.

Builder Mark Brown, 41, paid mum-of-three Leah Ware, 33, the sum for two separate shoots after the first "wasn't good enough", a court heard on Monday, October 24.

Leah was left "scared" of Brown and tried to leave him after he paid her to get in the car boot, a friend told Hove Crown Court.

The mother was living in a shipping container at Brown's rented farm in Hastings when she went missing last May, reports Sussex Live.

Her body has never been found. Brown is now on trial for her alleged murder and the killing of another escort Alex Morgan.

Alex was identified by her teeth and bone fragments after Brown allegedly burnt her body in an oil drum.

He denies both counts of murder.

Leah's friend Tara Casey said Brown was Leah's "sugar daddy".

She said Leah was told to dress "provocatively" and climb into the boot of Brown's car to allow him to take photos in order to blackmail a business partner.

Ms Casey added that Leah would be given £3,000 in return.

After the defendant did not think the original pictures were good enough, the court was told he tried it again.

"There were more props this time," Ms Casey said. "She mentioned being tied up and a gag was put in her mouth.

"She said it wasn’t a ball, it was a tube that went down her throat.

"She was left with it on, in the boot of the car while Lady [Leah's dog] ran round crying for her to get up. He did what he wanted to her while she was tied up."

Leah disappeared a short while after the incident and, when she returned, told Ms Casey that she had been sectioned, the court heard.

Ms Casey also told the court that she and Leah had an argument, with her pal telling her: "Leah, this man is going to kill you, I hate watching it."

The trial continues.
