Dover petrol bomb: Moment ‘laughing’ man throws missile at immigration centre before ‘killing himself’ | The Sun

THIS is the moment a man throws a "petrol bomb" out of a car at a Dover immigration centre before witnesses claim he killed himself.

Cops confirmed between two and three "incendiary devices" were lobbed into the immigration border force site today – sparking a massive blaze.



Police have not yet confirmed any fatalities however witnesses have claimed a man then killed himself moments later.

Kent Police have this afternoon said that a suspect has been identified and located – with one minor injury reported.

Witnesses described the horror – saying a man wearing a striped top was seen driving up to the centre.

They claim he threw three petrol bombs at the site – one of which did not go off – before driving way.

The man then took his own life, witnesses claim.

Shocking video taken by a witness show the flames engulfing the side of the building.

Terrified people are seen running in the background as cops usher them out of the way.

The area has been cordoned off by cops, who remain at the scene this afternoon.

A bomb disposal squad was later spotted near a petrol station, with cops seen standing by a white SUV.

A witness to the incident told KentOnline: "I heard what I thought was cannons going off and thought it must have been an event.

"We paused the TV to hear. There were at least six or seven.

"To think it was actually explosions that we heard is just so upsetting. I really hope no one is hurt."

A Kent Police spokesperson said: "Officers established that two to three incendiary devices had been thrown into a Home Office immigration premises.

"One minor injury has been reported.

"The suspect has been identified and located. Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing."

A Home Office spokesperson said: "We are aware of an incident at Western Jet Foil, Dover and police are in attendance.

"It would not be appropriate to comment further at this stage."
