Elon Musk has shown off his throw down technique during an ‘epic’ training session with Lex Fridman as he gears up for a $1billion Vegas cage fight with Mark Zuckerberg.
Tesla and Space X founder Musk, 51, demonstrated ‘strength, power and skill’ in fighting abilities, according to Fridman, 39, who holds a black belt in jiu-jitsu.
He shared photos of their training session, with Elon pinning him to the ground ahead of his blockbuster fight against the Facebook founder, 39.
Fridman however has not taken sides, having also trained with Zuckerberg in a video posted online on June 25.
He tweeted: ‘I did an impromptu training session with @ElonMusk for a few hours yesterday. I’m extremely impressed with his strength, power, and skill, on the feet and on the ground.

Fridman however has not taken sides, having also trained with Zuckerberg in a video posted online on June 25
‘It was epic. It’s really inspiring to see Elon and Mark doing martial arts, but I think the world is served far better if they train martial arts but not fight in the cage.
‘That said, as Elon says, the most entertaining outcome is the most likely… I’m there for them, no matter what.’

The prospect of a scrap between two of the world’s most famous tech entrepreneurs arose last week when Twitter CEO Musk challenged Zuckerberg to a cage fight in response to speculation Facebook parent company Meta was planning to launch a Twitter rival.
Zuckerberg responded via Instagram accepting the challenge, with the pair now rumoured to be discussing the finer points of potential bout in Las Vegas with Ultimate Fighting Championship President Dana White, who claimed their fight could rake in some $1billion.
Elon replied to Fridman, saying: ‘That was fun!’. Meanwhile Zuckerberg is yet to respond to the latest development on social media.
Zuckerberg and Musk have both appeared on the Lex Fridman podcast, which discusses a range of topics including AI, science and philosophy.
Fridman previously tweeted: ‘A jiu jitsu match between Zuck and Elon would definitely be a fun plot twist in this simulation. I’m all for it,’ to which Elon’s mother Maye replied: ‘Don’t encourage this match!’
Elon’s father is also skeptical about the potential showdown, saying it would be a ‘no win’ situation for his son.

Errol Musk, 77, said: ‘The thing is if this crazy fight goes ahead, if Elon beats this guy, Elon will be called a bully, being so much heavier and taller, while if he loses the humiliation would be total.
‘It’s a no-win situation for Elon. I think Elon has got himself into a difficult situation as a result of high school behavior. They both have,’ he told The Sun.
It comes after Musk accepted a sensational offer to train with UFC legend Georges St-Pierre.
St Pierre is a former welterweight and middleweight UFC champion, one of the finest MMA fighters to enter the octagon.
Musk has trained in Kyokushin karate, taekwondo, judo and ‘Brazilian jiu-jitsu briefly’ throughout his life, he revealed on Joe Rogan’s podcast, and he’s shared a photo of himself fighting a sumo wrestler in the past.
However rival Zuckerberg recently placed in a jiu-jitsu tournament in May.
Former UFC star-turned promoter and podcaster Chael Sonnen, who retired from the sport in 2019, weighed in on the topic during a recent interview, explaining how the social media empires of both tech titans could bring about unprecedented viewing figures for their fight.
He told the MMA Hour: ‘You could for sure do 10 million-plus [pay-per-view buys].

Elon’s parents are not happy about the prospect of the fight – with Maye tweeting: ‘Don’t encourage this match!’

‘But you could be closer to 20 and 25 [million pay-per-view buys], because what I would predict is both of their companies would start some kind of a digital arm.
‘So all of a sudden, I believe that Twitter would be hosting pay-per-views, and I believe Facebook would, as well. Now you’re talking 25 million views here.
‘That’s insane, what I just said. You could do that if the business shifted and changed a little bit. Sure you could.’
The current record for most pay-per-view buys was set by boxers Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao in 2015 – when 4.6million people tuned into their bout.
Rumblings of a potential fight between Musk and Zuckerberg has speculation over what such a bout could look like and a fervent debate over who would come out victorious.
The general consensus online seemed to be fairly even.
Those predicting Musk would win pointed to his larger stature, while those backing Zuckerberg highlighted his keen passion for Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
