‘Evidence’ woman claiming to be Madeleine McCann ‘was trafficked’, says psychic

A young woman who claims she could be Madeleine McCann is in a secret location in the US and the psychic helping her says there's "evidence of trafficking".

Julia Wendell, 21, is currently in California, US, having been whisked from her home country after receiving death threats.

She went viral on Instagram after sharing supposed "evidence" to show she is Madeleine, the Leicestershire girl who vanished while on a family holiday in Portugal in 2007.

Julia's claims are being probed by private detective and self-professed medium Dr Fia Johansson, who is with her at the safehouse in California.

Johannsson said she will not reveal where said house is, for Julia's safety. Reports suggest the US authorities were accommodating in trying to get the young Polish woman into the country.

But now the medium has claimed she has evidence "that shows Julia was definitely trafficked to Poland".

“I just want to make sure she is in a safe place until we actually figure out exactly where and how we are going to conduct the DNA tests,” said the investigator.

“I do not want to disclose the location because I don’t want people to come after her and basically try to harm her."

Speaking to RadarOnline, Dr Johansson previously said Julia has sent off three DNA samples for forensic analysis as well as a genetic test to establish her ancestry (something akin to 23andMe).

"If the results come back that she’s British or from that area then we are going to continue our investigation into Madeleine McCann and communicate with the detectives in Portugal," Dr Johansson told the publication.

"We have a lot of evidence right now that shows Julia was definitely trafficked to Poland."

Julia's family in Poland have denied her claims. According to Dr Johansson, her mum and dad have also blocked Julia's number and are refusing to take a DNA test of their own.
