A FIRE has broken out at a major tourist attraction.
Flames ripped out near the historical Mumbles Pier after a nightclub set alight.
It is thought several people were evacuated from the scene in Swansea this morning and plumes of smoke were visible for miles.
A South Wales Police spokesman said: "Local road closures have been put in place and the public is advised to avoid the area while the fire is being tackled."

Mumbles Pier said: "Due to unforeseen circumstances the site will be closed from now until further notice. Sorry for any inconvenience caused."
Crews from Morriston, Tumble, Swansea Central, Port Talbot, Neath, Carmarthen and Cardigan were all called to help with the incident.
