The flat over the famous travel bookshop run by Hugh Grant in Notting Hill is up for sale for a staggering £2.4million.

The shop on Portobello Road, famous for its historic antiques market, provided the exterior for the Travel Book Co. in the hit 1999 film.

The plush three-bed property sat directly on top is now for sale – at a price point which is probably a little way out of the fictional bookseller’s budget.

The film, which earned several award nominations, tells the star-crossed romance story of Grant’s charatcer William Thacker, a humble shop owner, and Julia Roberts, who plays Hollywood actress Anna Scott.

It was a hit at the box office and its locations across London are still visited by fans today, with walking tours being run to the shop and other spots.

The apartment, listed for £2.375million, boasts more than 1,400 sq. ft. of living space over three floors.

It also has an open plan reception room, kitchen and dining room, three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a spacious outdoor terrace.

Although the building’s exterior was used in the film, scenes indoors were filmed in a private studio.

The building was formerly the Nicholls Antique Arcade and then went on to be a furniture shop called Gong.

It is now a gift shop but retains the iconic blue facade, which has remained in place since filming took place in 1998.

The shop was home to a variety of major scenes including Roberts’ character’s famous confession of love.
