Four people are shot and wounded in Marbella nightclub packed with Brits before gunman is stabbed: Stampede breaks out on dancefloor as gunshots ring out

Four people have been shot and wounded in a Marbella nightclub after a gunman went on a rampage on the dancefloor.

The shootings took place in the early hours of this morning at Opium Beach Club, a club popular with British tourists in the Spanish holiday hotspot.

A fight had broken out among the revellers when the shooter took out his gun and started firing.

He was then stabbed in the head and torso, sources said, and he remains in hospital in a serious condition.

One of those shot is said to be in a serious condition and the others are also in hospital.

Police received a call about the violence at 1.10am.

Footage shared on social media shows the shooting took place inside the VIP section of the club, causing a stampede as British partygoers desperately fled the venue.

Celebrated South African DJ Black Coffee was playing at the SIGHT event at the club last night.
