Group of 20 in funeral party dine and dash on $500 bill at seafood restaurant – before threatening to shoot staff following dispute over gratuity

A group of 20 people returning from a funeral were served a large meal at Crazy Cajun Seafood & Sports in Houston, Texas, only to skip out on the bill.

Footage was posted by Grizzy’s Hood News on TikTok of the party exiting the restaurant – some were walking, others appeared to run for the hills. 

The total amount of the meal came out to $542.67, which includes tax, and a 20% Gratuity that cost $84.64.

Two members of the funeral group did pay for their tab, but the rest can be seen walking to their cars, and threatening to shoot the serving staff.

Grizzy asked: ‘You guys threaten the wait staff with a pew pew experience? Nah that ain’t it.’

Their receipt included multiple high priced options, including three eight-piece wings and three seafood platters.

The total cost of their meal with tax and 20% gratuity was $542.67 – the gratuity being what angered the party

The funeral party’s receipt shows that their bill includes orders of at least two kid meals, three eight-piece wings, and three seafood platters.

Four orders on the receipt shown in the video each cost more than $20.00.

Crazy Cajun Seafood & Sports is a popular Houston restaurant that opened its doors in 2005 at Northwest Crossing. 

It offers a wide variety of foods and is also available for catering per request.

The restaurant has generally received positive reviews on Google for their food, many of which singling out the serving staff.

One person said: ‘This place was awesome. Food season to perfection. Service was on point and the atmosphere was just how I like it. I will be back very soon.’

A reviewer who watched the dine and dash video stated: ‘Saw a viral video of people doing a massive dine and dash.’ 

‘Those people should be ashamed of themselves. Kudos to the employees for putting up with them,’ the reviewer continued.

Reddit has spoken negatively about the party of 20 since the Houston incident, and some have called out the restaurant for their security measures

People on Reddit have also been showing hate for the party of 20 after watching the video, but one user also called out the restaurant security footage on the platform post.

That person said: ‘Is the security footage intentionally being blurred? Otherwise, why bother having a camera.’ 

One user who called out the party said: Disgusting f****** behavior. F*** these people.’

Another person said: ‘Driving a Range Rover and can’t afford your tab is crazy to me.’

A Reddit user stated: ‘600 dollars for so many people is really not a bad tab. That is pretty affordable. 

Some people on the social media platform also discussed how to get the authorities involved in the matter because of their cars in the parking lot.

One person said: ‘Lol please tell me they got the license plates at least. Pretty easy to call the police.’
