A 12-YEAR-old girl is among four teens charged over a brutal attack which saw a woman "beaten senseless" outside a shopping centre.

The victim, 20, was attacked by a group of unknown boys and girls – who quickly fled the scene.

The woman's jaw was broken in four places in the attack outside Trident Retail Park in Runcorn, Cheshire.

Cops have charged four kids aged between 12 and 14 – who cannot be named for legal reasons.

A 12-year-old girl was charged with two counts of assault and a 14-year-old boy was charged with assault.

Meanwhile, a boy, 13, was charged with section 18 wounding with intent and grievous bodily harm.

A 13-year-old girl was also charged with assault and section 18 wounding with intent.

All suspects will appear before Warrington Youth Court on September 8. They have been bailed.

Cheshire Constabulary DCI Clare Coleman said: "This was a totally unprovoked attack.

"I want to reassure residents that we are committed to doing all we to ensure the people responsible are held accountable for their actions."

Runcorn MP Mike Amesbury raised the attack in the House Of Commons.

He told MPs: "In Trident Retail Park in my constituency, a young woman has just been beaten senseless.

“Her jaw has been broken in four places.

“The Home Secretary spoke about mob rule.
