THE CHILLING case of a missing girl known as the "Italian Madeleine McCann" has been reopened – with a fresh sighting some 30 years from when she vanished.
Angela Celentano mysteriously disappeared without a trace from a family picnic in Naples nearly three decades ago.
Now police are taking another look at the long cold case after a new report claimed she had been spotted on an island in Turkey.
The report states that she is now living in Buyukada, near Istanbul.
Described by some as the "Italian Madeleine Mccann", Celentano went missing on August 10, 1996 and after multiple attempts to track her down she was never found.
Italian authorities have opened the new investigation after an Italian woman claimed Angela is living with a man who she believes is her father.

In a chilling twist of events, the woman named Vincenza Trentinella claimed she received this information from a dying priest who allegedly claimed the info was passed to him during a confession.
Trentinella also claims she travelled to Buyukada to meet with the missing woman and her kidnapper.
When she returned home to Italy after meeting the pair, she immediately informed the police who are now investigating the case once again along with Turkish authorities.
Celentano’s parents, Maria and Catello, still remain hopeful that their daughter will return home one day after a 27 year long wait.

Several people have come forward over the years claiming they could be the missing girl, but after DNA testing it was proven that none of these women were in fact Celentano.
One woman from South America came forward in October 2022 after claiming to be the long-lost Angela Celentano.
The woman allegedly had flashbacks of being abducted in the woods when she was a young girl, and claims she was kept in a white car before being relocated to a cottage with other children.
She took a DNA test, and in February it was revealed that she was not the missing woman.
But despite the disappointment, Celentano’s parents shared a heartfelt statement through their social media channels.
“ We will continue our research and any other report worthy of further study will be followed,” they said.
“Hope is still alive, we do not stop hoping to be able to embrace our beloved daughter again”.
Searches continue in South America for the missing girl and the family are now making use of the new age progression photos which show what the missing girl could now look like at the age of 30.
