Is Raphael Rowe married?

In his memoir, titled Notorious, released in 2020, Raphael Rowe revealed that he has a wife.

However, this was his first time revealing that he was married.

He went on to explain that he is a private person and therefore any information about his wife is kept away from the public.

Prior to marriage, the journalist was in two known relationships.

Those familiar with Rowe's case might know that he was earlier in a relationship with Kate Williamson, who testified against him during his trial.

In an interview with The Guardian in July 2000, Rowe claimed that Kate told the police “a pack of lies.”

He alleged that Kate tried to frame him because she was envious of his then-girlfriend, Nancy Stanley.

During his time in prison, Rowe claimed that he received a letter from Kate in which she admitted to the lies

However, Kate later flipped saying she was forced to do it.

Does Raphael Rowe have children?

In a 2000 interview, Rowe revealed that he has a son with his partner.

He added that his then-12-year-old son didn’t want to see him because he believed Rowe is a murderer.

Rowe said that he had been maintaining a diary throughout his time in prison, in which he wrote many things for his son and hopes he might agree to meet him someday.

On March 28, 2018, Rowe shared a tweet about his son. In the since-deleted tweet, he wrote: “I am debating with my son (13) who is who please reveal?”

To this day, he hasn’t opened up about the mother of his son.

What has Raphael said about his family?

Rowe said he “went into prison as a 20-year-old boy and left a 32-year-old man”.

After leaving prison he wanted to get to know his family again.

Visiting for an hour or so, never gave them enough time to really get to know one another.

Rowe was wrongly sentenced to life in prison for murder and robbery in 1990.

In July 2000, after 12 years in prison, the Court of Appeal quashed his wrongful convictions and he was freed.
