The contest typically sees contestants eating as many hotdogs as they can in 10 minutes.

The 2022 event can be watched live on ESPN.

The men's portion is scheduled to begin at 12pm EST with the women's portion beginning at 10:45am EST.

Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular

Along with hosting the annual Thanksgiving Day parade, Macy's also hosts the 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular.

The special is hosted in New York City, and includes musical performances by today's biggest stars.

If you are not able to see the fireworks in person, you can watch them at home on NBC starting at 8pm EST.

Craig Melvin and Dylan Dreyer are scheduled to host the event, which will include special performances by 5 Seconds of Summer, Brett Eldredge, Carly Pearce, Pitbull, and more.

CNN's The Fourth in America

Making its return just in time for the Independence Day festivities is CNN's The Fourth in America on-air special.
