Just Stop Oil… what about saving the trees? Eco-zealots PRINT series of £25 calendars featuring smug snaps of activists during their ‘favourite’ stunts
In good news for fans of traffic jams and groaning self-importance, eco-loons Just Stop Oil have brought out a calendar for 2024 – giving their supporters the chance to relive all the best bits from the last two years of disruption.
The £25 organiser is coloured in the group’s trademark orange and includes 12 photos from some of the groups most outrageous stunts of 2022 and 2023.
Flogging the booklets on their website, the climate group says: ‘This limited edition run of calendars represents some of the best snaps from some of our favourite actions over the last two years.
‘Mark your days, weeks, months and years by reminding yourself and your friends of the power of civil resistance and the strength of our movement. We will win!’
And in further good news for the British public, the group has graciously announced that all profits will be poured directly back into their funds for more protests in the new year.

Dorset-born student radical McKechnie stormed the grounds on March 17 2022 wearing an orange Just Stop Oil T-shirt and attached himself by his neck to the goalpost using a metal-enforced zip tie.
In September 2022, he was eventually jailed for six weeks for this stunt and others.
Whilst the photo JSO have included in their calendar paints McKechnie as a stoic figure, his actual reception on the day was far different.
Footage filmed for a YouTube video showed McKechnie walking down the steps in the stand and climbing over a gate to get onto the pitch, as one fan shouted at him: ‘F*** off you blert.’
Also included in the round up of misery is the time the group attacked the infamously oil guzzling sport of snooker.
In April, University of Exeter student Edred Whittingham, 25, invaded the arena at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield shortly after play between Robert Milkins and Joe Perry by jumping on the table where he released a packet of orange dye.

As May rolls around, purchasers of the group’s glossy booklet will be able to revel in the glory of serial jailbird Phoebe Plummer’s audacious attack on Vincent Van Goth’s Sunflowers.
In October 2022, professional irritant Plummer, 22, – who has been in and out of custodial sentences for years due to her actions – was part of a JSO rearguard that threw Heinz soup over the world famous painting.
Plummer, considered by some to be a Joan of Arc type figure to the group, would later be found guilty of criminal damage and aggravated trespass.

And for the cricket lovers amongst their rank, JSO has also included some shots from their days out at the Ashes.
In June, England’s Jonny Bairstow was forced to intervene himself after JSO activists slipped through security and charged towards the wicket, leaving a trail of orange vapour in their wake.
Not one to mess about, the Yorkshire man quickly scooped the protester up like a child and carried him off the pitch to be arrested.
