A royal guard has left a young girl "traumatised" after he told her to move during a patrol march.

The soldier, a King's Life Guard, was carrying out his duties to march at Horse Guards, Whitehall, when a small girl got in his way without realising.

In the video captured by tourist Octavio Almanza Cana, the girl is seen facing against the guard as he walks out from the shaded area and makes a left turn to the open space.

The King's Guard, who wears a red tunic and a white plumed helmet, holds his sword upright and yells: "Stand clear!"

The little girl quickly runs to her parents and they stand aside, clear of the guard's path.

Other tourists watch on in awe before the video ends.

The guard is part of the senior regiment of the British Army who have been protecting royal household for hundreds of years.

Viewers praised the soldier for doing his job and slammed the girl's parents for not taking care of their child.

One said: "Good job guard, the parents need to teach the kid some respect."

"Parents! Keep your kid in line," a second shared and a third wrote: "I bet he is loving every minute of it but gosh, the child probably had a mild shock there."

Some pointed out that the soldier was on his duty and not walking around like a Disney character at Disneyland.

"People seem to forget these are soldiers doing their job," one TikToker noted.

Another person commented: "Remember it’s not Disneyland the parents are to blame."

A similar incident happened in July when a tourist got yelled by a Queen's Guard after touching the horse reins during a photo op.

The woman jumped when the soldier yelled at her, screaming: "Stand back from the Queen's lifeguard, don't touch the reins!"
