'Liver King' sued for $25M by customers who said they were tricked

‘Liver King’ is sued for $25M by fans who ‘were tricked into buying his muscle-building supplements’ – when in fact he was taking steroids

  • Brian Johnson, 45, admitted earlier this month to taking $11,000/mo of steroids
  • Since the revelation, Christopher Altomare, of New York, has sued the influencer and his companies for $25million
  • Altomare claimed in the lawsuit that Johnson falsely advertised his products and encouraged a ‘dangerous and life-threatening diet’
  • He claimed he and others wouldn’t have bought Johnson’s product if they knew
  • Johnson’s brand promoted eating raw liver to obtain his ripped physique

Influencer ‘Liver King’ has been sued by fans who said they were tricked into buying his supplements after he claimed he maintained his ripped physique by eating raw liver and doing shots of blood.

Brian Johnson, 45, admitted in a six-minute-long video earlier this month that he has done steroids in the past and is continuing to receive 0.6 milliliters of testosterone every week.

Since the revelation, Christopher Altomare, of New York, has sued Johnson and his companies – Ancestral Supplements, LLC and The Fittest Ever, LLC – for $25million.

Altomare claimed in the lawsuit that Johnson falsely advertised his products and encouraged a ‘dangerous and life-threatening diet’ which caused customers to suffer from ‘severe’ food-borne illnesses.

Johnson’s brand largely promoted the Nine Ancestral Tenets lifestyle, which boast eating raw liver, spleen, pancreas, hearts and kidneys. The lawsuit, viewed by the New York Post, claimed Johnson constantly ‘showcased his muscular physique’ to exemplify that the diet had him in the ‘epitome of health.’

However, his fans are saying that the diet was unsustainable and they then had to purchase his supplements to keep up.

‘Liver King persuaded millions of consumers to adhere to, or abide by, the Eat Tenet by repeatedly making representations to consumers that his near-perfect physique, and optimal health, were solely attributable to his adoption of the Ancestral Tenets, predominantly the Eat Tenet,’ the lawsuit said, according to the New York Post.

The influencer, who became popular last year, repeatedly denied in interviews that he used steroids, saying he ‘stays away from that stuff’ while amassing a massive following as well as a multimillion-dollar empire.

In late November, a fitness journalist exposed the star’s emails in a YouTube video, revealing that Johnson was actually taking $11,000 worth of steroids

However, in late November, a fitness journalist exposed the star’s emails in a YouTube video, revealing that Johnson was actually taking $11,000 worth of steroids a month to look the way he did.

In a December 1 video, Johnson conceded and admitted to his fans that he was taking steroids.

‘Yes, I’ve done steroids. And yes, I’m on steroids,’ he said in the video.

Now, Altomare is claiming that he and others wouldn’t have forked over loads of money for Johnson’s products if they had known about his steroid use.

Despite the revelation and the current lawsuit, Johnson claimed his businesses are doing fine.

‘The Liver King brand has had nothing to do with my business success,’ he claimed. ‘My companies were already kicking a**, already successful before the Liver King public figure, growing at 50 percent year over year and still growing at the same pace after,’ he said in the video.

That is when he decided to reveal he is among the 85 percent of Americans who suffer from self-esteem issues, saying: ‘That’s me, I’m part of that statistic.

‘That’s why I f**king work myself to death in the gym,’ he said. ‘This is why I do 12 to 15 blood-burning workouts a day just to feel like I’m okay.’

‘Still, I have to absolutely crush myself to do so, and I’m wrecked physically and cognitively, and hormone replacement has helped in a profound and significant way,’ he claimed. ‘And still I believe that the path to Paradise is paved in f**king hell.’

‘I fully own that I f**ked up,’ Johnson concluded. ‘All I can do is take extreme ownership right now, be better and lead myself to a better life as a better human.’
