Major update in missing X Factor star Levi Davis case as private eye travels to Barcelona & reveals 'significant leads' | The Sun

A PRIVATE detective hired by the family of missing X Factor star and rugby player Levi Davis says he has found “significant leads”.

The 24-year-old was last seen leaving an Irish pub in Barcelona on October 29 after travelling to the city on his own from Ibiza.

Gavin Burrows and his London-based company Line of Inquiry have volunteered to help find the former Bath rugby player.

As part of the investigation, the firm has said it will pay a £10,000 reward for information leading to Levi being found.

“I've only recently just come to this, but we have got some significant leads, which we're following up right now and locally," he told GB News .

“There are a number of clues here. And one main appeal today is that when he left Ibiza in October, he must have spoken to somebody on the ferry during that time. It was a six, seven-hour, eight-hour journey.

“He must have spoken to somebody when he came to Barcelona or arranged to meet somebody in Barcelona. But that person's never come forward."

It comes as his passport was found near a cargo shipment at a port in Barcelona, his mum revealed at the weekend.

Cops confirmed Levi's passport was found in Barcelona's port area in November – but didn't offer any further information at the time.

"Thank you all for your support and prayers," she said in a Facebook post.

"There's still no news apart from the fact his passport was found near some cargo shipment."

Levi's worried family travelled out to Spain to help with the search several weeks ago but, despite some possible sightings of Levi, none have been confirmed as him.

Julie has also been told her son’s phone and bank accounts have still not been used since the last confirmed sighting.

A video message sent by Levi to her on the day he went missing was also released.

In the short clip, he is seen on the ferry from Ibiza to Barcelona.

Taken in the middle of the seven-hour trip, Levi's voice is barely audible over the heavy winds, but he can be heard saying: "Hi mum… it's beautiful."

Last month, a witness contacted Levi's family claiming they had seen him in Barcelona's Placa Sant Agusti Vell.

It is believed that the same witness said they had seen him in another square near the city's Arc de Triomf monument.

The spot is just a six-minute walk from the Old Irish Pub where Levi was seen leaving on October 29.

Levi made the journey to Barcelona alone after staying in Ibiza for a week, arriving in the city at around 7pm.

The former Bath winger had been suffering from depression and had gone on holiday following a knee injury.

The Bath rugby player-turned-reality star performed on X Factor: Celebrity in 2019 with fellow rugby players Ben Foden and Thom Evans as part of the group Try Star.

In 2020, he starred in the E4 dating series Celebs Go Virtual Dating.
