Brixton stabbing: Man, 22, is knifed to death in south London as Met Police launch murder investigation

Police have launched a murder investigation after a 22-year-old man was stabbed to death in Brixton. 

The victim was killed on Coldharbour Lane in the London district outside a row of shops between Valentia Road and Gresham Road just before 5pm today. 

Police and paramedics rushed to the area where they tried to resuscitate the man who tragically died at the scene.

Officers said they received reports of a stabbing at 4.44pm today and were assisted by London Ambulance Service as they helped the man who had been stabbed. 

A Met Police spokesperson told MailOnline: ‘Work is ongoing to identify and inform his next of kin. At this early stage there has been no arrest.

The stabbing happened near a row of shops in Brixton, London earlier today

According to MyLondon, an eyewitness said there were multiple emergency service vehicles at the scene while police tape was put up across Coldharbour Lane.
