Man cut in half by forklift ‘in pain’ and skips pic as ‘not every day is good’

A bloke cut in half by a forklift has had to miss out on a photograph update because he was in “pain”.

Loren Schauers and wife Sabia Schauers-Reiche frequently post about their journey online after a horrific workplace accident left him without the bottom half of his body.

Loren, of Great Falls in Montana, USA, had been operating a forklift when it fell 50ft off a bridge, landing on him.

Since that horrific incident, the young couple have documented their journey together, navigating the challenges of 21-year-old Loren’s injuries.

Part of that has seen the couple regularly give fans updates about the day to to day goings on of their lives.

But while the couple has shared many good days, a recent post reminded followers that not every day was as happy and wholesome as it might appear, with Loren’s injuries still a source of pain and difficulty for them.

Sabia, 23, wrote on Facebook on June 25: “Just our Sunday check-in with you all.

“Unfortunately Loren is not having a great day, it's a day with considerable pain so no picture of him today.

“Not every day can be great and wonderful but being the extraordinary guy he is, he's fighting his way through it all. We love you all!”

Floods of supportive messages have been shared on the post since, with some 109 comments of support on there at the time of writing.

“Wishing you Love and Hugs Loren,” one person wrote.

“I know you go up and down in your health. Post-recovery is not always easy. I went through breast cancer in 2016 and let me tell you, I still struggle with the post-side effects from the treatment I had.”

Another fan wrote: “Sorry Loren is having an especially painful day, wishing you both all the best!”

A third added: “Praying for pain relief and that he feels better soon! We all have good and bad days. I pray that you remain strong and give him love and encouragement! You are an amazing couple!”

A fourth person chucked in a heartfelt note about the character of the pair.

They said: “Loren, I know we don't know you but we see what a fighter you are. Hope you feel better asap.

“You and Sabia Schauers-Reiche are true warriors in everything you do. I respect both of you so much! You both are the definition of what true love is. Keep being awesome!”
