Millions of people have been left without any internet or landline phone service after a huge Sky network outage, and it could take two weeks to come back on.
The company confirmed on X/Twitter that there was an outage impacting on the entire Lancashire region.
A spokesman said: “There is currently a Multiple Exchange Outage in the above area affecting Broadband, Talk and Fibre customers.

“We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.”
Angry customers took to social media to confirm the issues, with many in Blackpool and the surrounding areas confirming the outage.
And reports of network outages spiked on the Down Detector website at 8.20am, as users flocked to it to report issues.
According to DD, the most reported locations without internet are Blackpool and Fleetwood, with users also reporting issues in Leeds, Birmingham, Bolton, Bristol, Manchester and Lees.
And 84% of those with issues reported that it was to do with their Internet service.
One user on X/Twitter wrote: “Woke up this morning, seems to be a wi-fi outage in the FY5 area of Lancashire.
“Unable to watch TV or connect to Internet.
“No notice that Internet would be going off.
“We're told it's damaged cables at exchange centre that could take seven to 14 days for Internet to come back on.”
And another wrote: “@SkyHelpTeam no WiFi in Blackpool – can you help?”
A third raged: “hi my broadband is down in FY4 area.
“It says it could be days to fix – can you please tell me the issue?

“I work from home so urgently need an update.”
Sky has not yet responded to the individual customer tweets.
The Lancashire area has been hit by heavy deluges of rain in recent days, with flooding reported in certain places.
