Moment clumsy drug-dealer crashes into a van while riding his suron bike illegally before he’s arrested by off-duty cop: Crook is jailed for three years

This is the moment a drug-dealer crashed into a van while illegally riding his suron bike before he was arrested by an off-duty cop.

Kya Evans, 21, from Careau in Wales, was found in possession of crack and heroin, a large amount of cash and two phones after being arrested by an officer who was on his way to work.

Dramatic footage shared by police shows Evans colliding with the side of a moving vehicle before falling off his bike and crashing to the ground on October 15.

Two balaclava-wearing men on bikes behind him then stop at the scene to help Evans on the ground.

Another man was arrested for affray after threatening to physically assault the officer while brandishing weapons.

Evans pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply crack and heroin on December 11 at Cardiff Crown Court. He was sentenced to three years imprisonment.

Detective Inspector Tim Jones said: ‘I am really proud of the actions of my officer which clearly shows the commitment we have in tackling county lines drug dealing.

‘We are also thankful for members of the public at the scene who assisted DC Davies whilst police were arriving at the scene. Vital video evidence was supplied by a group of cyclists who witnessed the incident.

‘The lengthy custodial sentence should act as a deterrent to those tempted to get involved with county line drug dealing. Our force remains committed to tackling county lines dealing and this is one of a number of arrests made recently.’
