A motorcycle rider was killed in a collision in Fort Collins Monday afternoon, the Fort Collins Police Department said in a news release.
Officers were notified about the crash involving a Yamaha motorcycle and a GMC Sierra pickup truck about 2 p.m. at the intersection of East Mulberry Street and Peterson Street.
The motorcycle rider had life-threatening injuries when the officers arrived, and the rider later died.
The motorcycle was travelling east on Mulberry Street, and the pickup was travelling north of Peterson Street when the crash happened, investigators determined.
The pickup driver had stopped at the intersection before driving forward, and the crash then happened in the intersection.

The investigation indicates there was another motorcycle operator who was riding nearby at the time of the collision with whom investigators are looking to speak.
The motorcycle rider who died was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision, police said.
