A MUM and her daughter were rushed to hospital after being savaged by an out-of-control XL Bully.

The horror unfolded at a home in Baddeley Green, Staffordshire, at around 11:40am yesterday.

Both the mum and daughter were taken to to the Royal Stoke University Hospital but there is no update on their condition.

Staffordshire Police confirmed they have ordered the dog to be destroyed.

A spokesperson said: "We were called to Baker Crescent following reports of a dog attack. The dog – believed at this time to be an XL Bully – attacked two women inside the address.

"They were taken to hospital by paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service. Officers contained the dog at the scene."

The horror is the latest in a spate of dog attacks across the UK.

It also comes amid a growing public debate after Rishi Sunak vowed to ban American bully XL dogs.

The PM said the breed will be outlawed under the Dangerous Dogs Act following a spate of terrifying attacks.

Anyone with information on the latest attack can call police on 101 quoting incident number 215 of 12 October.
