A MUM has claimed her kitchen is so dangerous she is forced to chop her vegetables on the sofa.

Jenna Cooper, 37, says her home in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffs., has been riddled with problems since she moved in back in March 2020.

She says she and her two-year-old son have to sleep downstairs three nights a week due to loud drilling outside and a bedroom window that's been broken since Christmas.

And the mum-of-one is now terrified for her son's safety after the kitchen cabinets started to collapse – forcing Jenna to prepare her meals from the sofa.

She told StokeonTrentLive: "I went without a boiler for three months, I had no bathroom for four months, and now I have no kitchen.

"We have a kitchen that we can't use properly because it is completely falling down.

She added: "In the last month and a half it's started falling down a cupboard at a time.

"It's really dangerous and the cupboard above the sink is about to collapse. I have to use the chopping board on the settee.

"Anything could happen. It's really scary and there's nowhere for us to cook anything because it's all collapsing."

She also says environmental health have become involved.

She said: "Anything could happen. It's really scary and there's nowhere for us to cook anything because it's all collapsing."

Jenna said she's reported the kitchen around 15 times, but says her landlord is "still refusing to replace the kitchen" because "they keep saying they want to repair it, but it's not repairable".
