MYSTERY surrounds the death of a model who plunged 60ft from her hotel balcony as cops investigate if she jumped or was pushed.

Sofia Olifrenko, 24, died instantly after the fall from her fifth-floor room in Istanbul, Turkey, on July 18.

CCTV footage shot earlier in the day shows the young model having difficulty walking down a pathway, needing a wall for support.

A Turkish man – named only as F. K. in local media – said in his police statement: "I don't know the woman's name, we met on the street. She was crying.

"I took her to her hotel room."

He claimed that she appeared to be very drunk and could barely walk.
