A NEIGHBOUR has received a "snobby" letter from next-door complaining about the "disgusting" language – but everyone is saying the same thing.

The shocking note was left by the neighbour – then shared online to shocked locals in Kingswood.

The neighbour posted the image of the note in the Kingswood community Facebook group asking the members to own up to the letter.

He said: "Come home to this letter posted anonymously with a stamp, what a lovely community. Anyone want to own up?"

The letter read: "I couldn't help but hear the disgusting language that came from your household over the weekend. Polite reminder you are now on Kingswood, one of the best places to live! Not Preston Road!"

The neighbour who wrote the letter was quick to reply in the group while taking a jibe at Preston Road’s name.

Some compared the letter to a scene from Channel 4's 'Hullraisers' where Missy's mum says, "We're on Kingswood, the executive side of the estate," to which Toni replies, "Which is the executive side?" Missy's mum then answers, "not near Asda."

"Hullraisers" is a famous British sitcom which is a female-led comedy written by Lucy Beaumont based in Kingston upon Hull, England.

The hand-written note divided the community into two where the owner of the letter received a lot of flak as people called him a “snob”.

One of the residents said: "What an absolute snob.”

Another said: "Some sad sad folk, it's Kingswood not Buckingham Palace. And FYI nothing wrong with Preston Road, maybe if they grew up in a community like that they wouldn't be posting anonymous letters. SAD."

Another resident was in agreement and said: "Won't be allowed to fart next. Never knew Kingswood was as posh as Buckingham Palace. Whoever wrote the letter needs to get a grip."

However, some believed that the note writer was well within the rights and said: "Maybe mindful about your language, not everyone appreciates hearing it."

Another said: "Don't agree with anonymous letters at all… however if it was my neighbours I would just politely ask them to watch their language (if loud and outside" as I have a young child that I wouldn't want hearing it."
