New York judge reinstates gag order barring Trump from attacking court staff in his $250 million fraud trial – after he targeted the judge’s  WIFE

A New York appeals court Thursday reinstated a gag order that barred Donald Trump from commenting about court personnel after he disparaged a law clerk in his New York civil fraud trial.

The move came hours after Trump ripped the judge overseeing his $250 million fraud case, saying he should be impeached, and went after his wife with online posts accusing her of being a partisan. 

The decision from a four-judge panel came two weeks after an individual appellate judge had put the order on hold while the appeals process played out.

The trial judge, Arthur Engoron, imposed the gag order October 3 after Trump posted a derogatory comment about the judge’s law clerk to social media.

The post, which included a baseless allegation about the clerk’s personal life, came the second day of the trial in New York Attorney General Letitia James´ lawsuit.

James alleges Trump exaggerated his wealth on financial statements used to secure loans and make deals. Trump denies any wrongdoing.

Engoron later fined Trump $15,000 for violating the gag order and expanded it to include his lawyers after they questioned clerk Allison Greenfield´s prominent role on the bench, where she sits alongside the judge, exchanging notes and advising him during testimony.

Trump’s lawyers filed a lawsuit against Engoron that challenged his gag order as an abuse of power.

Judge Engoron’s ‘gag’ order had been on hold pending the appeal

Engoron slapped Trump with a $15,000 fine following an attack on his law clerk when the gag was in place. Trump has repeatedly attacked the judge and prosecutors while his lawyers defending him in his New York fraud trial

They sued the judge under a state law known as Article 78, which allows lawsuits over some judicial decisions.

The panel’s ruling came hours after Trump once again went after the judge, his clerk, and the judge’s wife.

Judge Engoron’s Trump Hating wife, together with his very disturbed and angry law clerk, have taken over control of the New York State Witch Hunt Trial aimed at me, my family, and the Republican Party. This is such an embarrassment to all within the New York State Judicial System, as murder and violent crime rage like never before!’ Trump wrote Wednesday on his Truth Social site.

He then called for the judge to be impeached, while once again tearing into New York AG Letitia James, who brought the fraud charges against Trump and his company and accused the firm of massively inflating values to secure lending. Trump has hammered James for her own valuation of Mar-a-Lago, based on county tax assessments, to an amount he calls ridiculously low.

‘Judge Engoron and Letitia James should be impeached and removed from office for fraudulently reducing my Asset Values, by many times, in order to hurt and demean me. The bank, a major lender, totally disagrees with their numbers, and the fact that they would sue me on a loan that was PERFECT. It is a political Witch Hunt, and a great embarrassment to New York State. REMOVE THEM AND DISMISS THIS RIDICULOUS, NO VICTIM, NO JURY, CASE!’ Trump wrote. 

Trump has also gone after Judge Engoron’s wife. His most recent post about her simply said ‘Judge Engoron’s Wife’ and reposted a tweet showing her apparent response to a tweet by Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Tex.) calling Engoron a ‘PATHETIC CIRCUS CLOWN!’ and calling James ‘racist,’ a label Trump has himself leveled.

A poster with her name responded that ‘The only racists are you white male politicians and those who vote for you.’

Trump also reposted a series of attacks on her by conservative activist Laura Loomer.
