Britain’s most expensive newsagent has become a massive TikTok hit as customers have travelled from across the UK to film videos with its owner.

The store became famous for selling a drink made by top YouTubers for ‘outrageous’ prices.

Avid fans of YouTubers KSI and Logan Paul bought the drink Prime for £20 a time.

People travelled more than 100 miles to get their hands on the drink at Wakey Wines in Wakefield, Yorkshire.

The Wakefield newsagents went viral on TikTok with a video showing a woman pay £145 for six bottles of Prime.

Other videos showed a group  of girls who had travelled 133 miles from Carlisle, Cumbria, to Wakefield. 

The hype around the drink has been fuelled by the fact some people have been advertising bottles on eBay and social media at vastly inflated prices

British YouTuber KSI and American YouTuber Logan Paul launched their Prime drink in June of this year

Wakey Wines has been selling the coveted drink for a whopping £24 per bottle and sold six for £145

The store’s manager has been filming TikToks with customers and has racked up millions of views

However, KSI slammed Wakey Wines for selling the drink for more than £20 a bottle. 

KSI said: ‘Wakey Wines is charging people £20 per Prime.

‘£145. Fam you’re getting ripped off.

‘Why is she doing this? No do not pay that much for Prime.

‘I know people want Prime OK, just wait or camp out Asda nice and early, get in Asda nice and early and pay £2.

‘£2 is way better than £25 bro. Come on this is outrageous. You should not be paying £25 for one bottle of prime.’

Prime has coconut water, vitamins and minerals in it but doesn’t have caffeine, as energy drinks like Red Bull and Monster do.

This group of women travelled the 133 miles from from Carlisle, Cumbria, to Wakefield, Yorkshire, to get their hands on Wakey Wines’ expensive Prime drink, which is made by KSI and Logan Paul

KSI and Logan Paul released the drink in June this year and have been promoting it a celebrity boxing matches.

Demand for the drinks is massively outpacing supply as youngsters try to emulate their social media heroes. 

The hype around the drink has been fuelled by the fact some people have been advertising bottles on eBay and social media at vastly inflated prices. 

Asda is the only retailer that is meant to be selling the drink, which costs £2 for a 500ml bottle.

The supermarket has been rationing customers to three bottles per purchase.
