Hamas member recounts Israel massacre in horrifying detail

Poland’s Foreign Minister, Zbigniew Rau, ignited a heated diplomatic dispute after appealing for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas on social media.

This unexpected move drew strong objections from Israel’s ambassador to Warsaw, marking an unusual public clash between the two nations.

While Poland awaits the formation of a new government following its general election in October, the ongoing military conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza has largely escaped the national spotlight.

However, on All Saints Day, one of the most significant holidays in this predominantly Catholic country, Rau seized the opportunity to address the crisis through his social media channels.

In a statement posted on X, Rau urged both Israel and Hamas to “immediately cease hostilities and allow civilians to safely leave the Gaza Strip”.

He also disclosed that Poland’s diplomatic and consular staff, along with the Foreign Ministry, were actively engaged in efforts to assist Poles trapped in the war-torn region.

The Polish Foreign Minister’s call for a ceasefire, while seemingly well-intentioned, triggered a strong reaction from Israel’s ambassador in Warsaw, who expressed outrage over the situation.

“Hamas terrorists use Gaza people and 6,500 foreigners as human shields for their murderous Nazi-inspired regime. Tragically, Polish citizens are among them,” the Israeli ambassador wrote on X.

In a Monday announcement, Israel confirmed that it would not entertain the idea of a ceasefire in Gaza, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu equating such an agreement to surrendering to Hamas, “terror and barbarism”.

Israel’s refusal to consider a ceasefire underscores the deeply entrenched hostilities in the region.

However, Rau’s statements were driven by appeals for assistance from Polish citizens trapped in Gaza.

Reports indicate that more than 20 Poles are currently stranded in the conflict zone, prompting Rau to take a diplomatic stance to protect his country’s citizens.
