Police release image of smartly dressed man who is alleged to have attacked a cyclist and hurled his bike into the road after confronting him about him riding on the pavement

Police have released a photograph of a man who is alleged to have attacked a cyclist in a confrontation in Dorset. 

The suspect, who is captured smartly dressed in a shirt and trousers, became irate at the victim for riding his bike on the pavement in Parkstone, Poole, according to Poole Police. 

It is alleged that he pushed the cyclist against a wall and picked up his bike before throwing it into the road.

The incident was captured on the cyclist’s camera, attached to his helmet. 

Police have released an image showing the suspect approaching the victim, who is in his 20s, aggressively. 

The man appears to be in his 60s and was wearing a blue open-necked shirt and navy blue trousers at the time of the incident. 

Police have said the cyclist sustained an injury to his shoulder but that he did not require medical treatment. 

Adam Cleaver, a spokesman for Poole Police said: ‘I have been carrying out a number of enquiries into this incident so far and am now in a position to issue an image of a man I would like to identify.

‘I would ask anyone who recognises him to please contact Dorset Police.’
