Poll: DEMOCRATS are worried about Biden after 'Where's Jackie' gaffe

64% of voters are concerned about Biden’s mental health: Poll shows even DEMOCRATS are more worried about the 79-year-old President’s fitness for office after his ‘Where’s Jackie’ gaffe as he considers a 2024 run

  • A whopping 52% of Democrats are ‘concerned’ with Biden’s mental health
  • Up from an August poll where the figure was 39% among his own party
  • Overall, more than two-thirds of Americans are worried about the president’s declining mental acuity, according to a new poll
  • The 5% uptick in concern comes after Biden’s gaffe where he tried to locate Rep. Jackie Walorski  who died along with two staffers in a car crash in August
  • Donald Trump rolled out a WWE-style video compilation of Biden’s ‘blooper reel’ during his Nevada rally on Saturday
  • Biden’s late September gaffe about Rep. Walorski was played while words superimposed next to the president read: ‘Pssst….Jackie’s dead’

More than two-thirds of voters are worried about Joe Biden’s mental health – a figure that is growing ahead of the midterm elections after the president’s biggest gaffe yet forgetting a congresswoman had died.

Sixty-four percent of American adults say they are either somewhat or very concerned about the president’s mental wellbeing, according to a new Issue & Insights/TIPP Poll.

The figure is up 5 percent from the same survey done in August.

Almost all of the declining confidence in Biden’s mental acuity came from his own party. In August, just 39 percent of Democratic respondents expressed concern – a figure that grew by 13 points to 52 percent in the latest poll.

The biggest difference in the two month gap between the polls is a speech celebrating a program aimed at ending hunger in the U.S. where President Biden publicly tried to locate deceased Congresswoman Jackie Walorski, who tragically died in a car crash with two staffers in August.

Donald Trump has capitalized on the latest flub, which has appeared to cause a shift in those who weren’t previously worried about the president’s mental state and frequent gaffes.

A new poll shows that Americans – Democrats included – have growing concern over President Joe Biden’s mental health after his gaffe asking ‘Where’s Jackie?’ despite Rep. Walorski dying in a car crash with two staffers in August

The new poll shows that 15 percent of adults are ‘not at all concerned’ with Biden’s mental health – and another 15 percent say they are ‘not very concerned.’ The overall figures of those without concern is down 9 percent from August, when 39 percent of respondents said they weren’t concerned with Biden’s mental state.

In August, only 2 percent said they were not sure when it came to the president’s mental fitness, but that figure grew to 5 percent in October – exhibiting a shift toward those who have doubts.

Trump is now running a professional wrestling-style video compilation of Biden’s many gaffes during his ‘Make America Great Again’ rallies.

The two-minute long video, which played Saturday at the former president’s Nevada rally, included a clip of Biden calling out for Walorski to praise her for her efforts in putting an end to hunger and food insecurity.

‘Where’s Jackie?’ Biden asked, despite the GOP representative and two of her staffers dying in a head-on collision in Indiana this summer.

Letters pop up on the screen alongside Biden with a crassly-worded reminder: ‘Pssst….Jackie’s dead.’

Biden reportedly later apologized to Walorski’s family in a more private setting.

Trump rolled out the video Saturday night as the crowd roared with the voiceover opening the two-minute video with: ‘Let’s get ready to bumble!’ – a play on WWE announcer Michael Buffer’s signature phrase.

The former president has shown similar clips and images at past rallies, such as his recent event in Michigan, but Saturday’s video appears to be among the lengthiest and most meticulously-produced.

Trump told supporters of Biden, ‘He can’t speak clearly, he can’t think clearly’ before introducing his two-minute WWE-style blooper reel video

One moment called out Biden for appearing to forget GOP Rep. Jackie Walorski had passed away

Raging against the Justice Department’s ongoing investigation into his handling of classified documents on Saturday night, Trump attacked Biden’s mental acuity and again accused him of directing the federal government in a politicized probe.

That’s despite the White House and the president himself denying having a role in the investigation or the August 8 FBI raid that brought it to the public forefront.

‘You could take the five worst presidents in American history and put them together, and they would not have done the damage Joe Biden has done to our nation in less than two short years,’ Trump told supporters.

He claimed, ‘When Biden hears me speak, he knows he can’t fight back in any other way than to try and get me through these prosecutors.’

‘That’s the only way he can maybe get me, I don’t think he can, first of all we did nothing wrong. It helps when you’ve done nothing wrong after six years,’ Trump said in apparent reference to the myriad of investigations against him.

‘He can’t speak clearly, he can’t think clearly, so he tells law enforcement, ‘You gotta do something about this guy, he’s killing me.”

Trump then asked the crowd: ‘So we just had a little quick video made up, would you like to see it?’

The ensuing video shows Biden’s misspeaks and verbal stumbles interspersed with clips of him tripping down Air Force One’s steps and First Lady Jill Biden helping him put on a jacket.

All the while, the well-worn 1991 track ‘Get Ready for This’ by 2 Unlimited plays in the background.

Trump’s supporters chanted ‘Joe’s got to go’ when the video ended.

He’s the latest critic of the 79-year-old president to come down on his awkward slip about Walorski, who Trump had endorsed before she died.

The White House’s handling of the issue prompted a firestorm of scrutiny from much of the media.

At her regular press briefing after Biden’s event, Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre repeatedly refused to chalk it up to a mistake when asked by multiple reporters.

She repeatedly told them that Biden brought up the late congresswoman because she was ‘top of mind.’

Biden himself apologized for the incident to Walorski’s family, according to Indiana’s South Bend Tribune.

They met with him in the Oval Office during a bill signing in Walorski’s honor.

Her older brother, Keith Walorski, told the outlet that the president had been ‘extremely gracious.’

‘He brought the ‘Where’s Jackie?’ comment and basically said, ‘I’m sorry that that went out like it did,’ and that it was basically a slip. He was the one to bring it up, he apologized and we basically told him we were fine, we had no hard feelings about that,’ Keith said.
