Rishi Sunak is set to announce a mini-reshuffle today which could see the creation of three new Cabinet jobs by breaking up the business and culture departments, according to reports.
The shake-up comes after Nadhim Zahawi was sacked as Tory Party chairman last week over his tax affairs.
Trade minister Greg Hands and Business Secretary Grant Shapps are being touted as potential replacements.
There are also questions over the future of Deputy PM Dominic Raab, who faces an inquiry into bullying claims.
Sources say Mr Sunak could use the chance to unveil wider changes as he tries to improve his party’s poll ratings.

The overhaul could split the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy into two new departments – a new energy department, with business and trade merged.
It could also see the Department for Culture, Media and Sport split in two – culture and sport, and a new science and digital unit.
A source told The Sun: ‘The focus is making government work better but in reality it leaves senior ministers looking over their shoulders.’ Downing Street declined to comment last night.’
