Royal fans all say the same thing as Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie appear to leave during Queen's funeral | The Sun

ROYAL fans are all saying the same thing after Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie appeared to leave the Queen's funeral early.

Her Majesty was driven to Windsor following an emotional funeral service at Westminster Abbey which saw world leaders, royalty and politicians gather in solemn silence.

Later today, Queen Elizabeth II will finally be reunited and laid to rest with her beloved Prince Philip.

But during the poignant service, royal fans believe they spotted a moment where Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie left Westminster Abbey.

As the historic service drew to an end, the two royals were seen getting up and leaving their seats before others in the congregation.

It took place before the Queen's coffin was carried out of the Abbey – with their mother Sarah Ferguson appearing to want to join them before sitting back down.

Queen’s coffin arrives in Windsor and is accompanied by procession to Castle

It comes as…

  • The Queen’s coffin has passed Buckingham Palace in poignant farewell
  • Tearful King Charles led his family in an outpouring of grief during his mother's funeral
  • Princess Charlotte and Prince George solemnly walked behind their Gan-Gan's coffin
  • Kate Middleton paid a touching tribute to The Queen wearing Her Majesty's pearl choker
  • Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton looked united in sorrow as they followed the Queen's coffin

Royalists watching the funeral around the world, were left scratching their heads after the princesses' apparently early exit from the service.

One viewer pondered on social media: "Any idea why Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice left the funeral prior to the coffin?

While another Royal fan on Twitter asked: "Anyone know why Eugenie and Beatrice left mid ceremony? Sarah Ferguson almost left with them but seems to have been told not to?"

However, the two princesses were later seen outside with the rest of the royals as the coffin left the Abbey.

Although Beatrice and Eugenie clearly didn't leave the funeral altogether there is no answer as to where they went during that moment.

Emotional members of the Royal Family today watched on as the Queen's coffin was placed in the state hearse for its final journey.

Thousands of mourners this morning lined the streets with many queuing over night to catch a glimpse of their beloved Monarch.

The King earlier gave a sombre salute as his mother's casket went by, just minutes after he had led his grieving family in the service.

He was joined by siblings Andrew, Edward and Anne, as well as sons William and Harry, who appeared solemn in reflection as the procession began.

At Wellington Arch, the bearer party lifted the Queen’s coffin from the State Gun Carriage into the glass-backed State Hearse, which Her Majesty helped design.

Bands of the Scots and Grenadier Guards then played a medley of her favourites, including Jerusalem and I Vow To Thee My Country.

As the hearse left the monument for Windsor, the parade gave a Royal Salute, led by the King, and the National Anthem played out.

Charles, the Queen Consort, and the Prince and Princess of Wales, along with other Royal Family members, then left for Windsor by car, travelling along the M4.

It arrived at Windsor Great Park through Shaw Farm Gate on Albert Road and on to Long Walk, where tens of thousands of people had been gathering since the early hours to bid a final farewell to the Queen.
